Summertime Spritzer


Looking for a great summertime spritzer? Try this! Alisons Wonderful Watermelon Wine, mint, lime juice & sparkling water!

1 Bottle Alison’s Wonderful Watermelon Wine
1 Lime
Fresh Mint
Seltzer- Lemon, Lime or plain.

Add wine to a pitcher, squeeze in juice of 1 lime and fresh mint. Before serving add a splash of seltzer and garnish with a sprig of mint and sliced lime. Serve over ice.

Summertime Spritzer

Homemade Ice Cream


1 Quart Mason Jar
1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
2 TSP. Vanilla
Pinch Salt
½ cup of your favorite wine

Add ingredients to the jar, secure lid tightly and shake for at least 5 minutes.

After the mixture thickens add ½ cup of your favorite wine, preserves, fresh fruit, crushed cookies. Stir and freeze for 3 hours.

Freedom Sangria


It’s always a great weekend to make some sangria.

1 Bottle Freedom Wine
Cut up seasonal fruit such as plums, peaches, apples.
1 cup Orange Juice
½ Cup Orange Brandy
Sprig Mint or Rosemary
1 Blackberry White Claw or Seltzer of your choice.

Add first 5 ingredients to a pitcher, refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight. Before serving add the seltzer. Add some orange brandy if you’re feelin’ frisky! What Christi’s creation here.

Freedom Sangria

Lazy Day Rose Lemonade


Make Lemonade:

1/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

1 cup cold water

Other:

1 cup Lazy Day Rose wine

Instructions

  1. To make the lemonade, combine the water and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, and stir to dissolve the sugar. Let cool.
  2. Add the fresh lemon juice and water to the sugar mixture and stir to dissolve. Refrigerate until cold.
  3. Before serving, mix the lemonade with the rosé wine. Divide between two glasses and serve.

Notes

You can substitute our Laura’s Lemonade Wine or store-bought lemonade.

Vienna Mule


Change up the traditional mule with Layton’s Chance wines for a lighter cocktail.

4 oz Layton’s Chance Reserve Traminette
2 oz Cranberry Juice or Sparkling Cranberry Juice
2 oz Ginger Beer
Lime juice to taste
Fresh cranberries, lime slice and a sprig of rosemary for garnish

Fill a glass or copper mug with ice. Pour in the ingredients. Stir, garnish and enjoy. Add a shot of vodka for an extra kick.

Make it a Red Vienna Mule but substituting your favorite Layton’s Chance Red Wine for the Layton’s Chance Reserve Traminette

Cranberry Orange Sparkler


Punch bowl size add equal part cranberry juice and orange juice to 1 bottle of sparkling wine or prosecco. Add frozen cranberries and orange wedges or make a ice ring with them but use one of the juices to freeze not water. Add the sparkling wine right before serving. Garnish with rosemary in each glass. 

4th of July Red, White & Blue


Place cubed Pound Cake or Angel Food cake in a wine glass.
Top with Vanilla ice cream & fresh berries.

White Peach Sangria


2 Bottles of Semi Sweet White Wine (Layton’s Chance Lazy Day White)
1 can of Frozen White Grape Peach Concentrate
3 Cups 7up or Ginger Ale
Chopped Fruit- Peaches, Oranges, Lemons, Grapefruit
Watermelon Spritzer
5 ounces Watermelon Wine
1 ounce Plain or Watermelon Vodka
Splash of Club Soda or Sparkling
Water
Ice

Lazy Day Cider Sangria


2 Chopped Apples
Caramel Syrup to taste.
1 Gallon Cider
2 Bottles Layton’s Chance Lazy Day White Wine

Combine in a drink dispenser.  Serve chilled. Garnish with Apple slices.

Choptank Mulled Tea Punch


15 Whole Cloves
2 Cinnamon Sticks
2 ½ Quarts Water
5 Lipton Family Size Tea Bags
2 ½ Cups Light Brown Sugar
2 ½ Cups Cranberry Juice Cocktail
2 Bottles Chambourcin Wine

Put Spices in cheesecloth. Bring water to a boil over high heat in large staock pot. Remove from heat. Add Tea Bags & Spices. Cover and steep 5 minutes. Remove Tea Bags, spices and squeeze. Stir in Sugar, Cranberry Juice, and Wine. Keep covered and heat through. Garnish with studded cloved oranges, Serve warm.
