September is picking season at the vineyard! Come celebrate the bounty of the harvest with us! $5 entry for adults includes free wine tasting. Kids are always FREE!

Layton’s Chance 2010 fishing tournament rules & awards
The tournament is open to all participants attending the 2010 Harvest Festival. It will be fished on the farm pond located on the Layton’s Chance property from 11:00-1:00 on September 25, 2010
Adults & children over the age of 16 are required to have a Maryland freshwater non tidal fishing license. Children under 16 are not required to have a fishing license.
Participant are required to bring the own rods, reels, tackle and bait for the tournament (Night crawlers or crickets are suggested as bait). All fish are required to be returned to the water alive is possible after they are weighed.
Awards will be given for the biggest fish in 3 divisions. Prizes include trophies (kids division- 15 & under), a t-shirt (16-20), and a bottle of wine (adult division (21 & over).
Wine Festivals!
We need volunteers to help at festivals this fall! Sign up for our volunteer list if you're interested, or send an email to Chloé.
Layton's Chance will be at the following festivals. Volunteers are asked to sign up for a 2 or 3 hour shifts and are given free entry to the festival in exchange.
Maryland Wine Festival (Sept. 18 & 19 in Westminster, MD)
Autumn Wine Festival (Oct. 16 & 17 in Salisbury, MD)
Waterfowl Festival (Nov. 12-14 in Easton, MD)
Sundaes at Sunset
Saturday, September 11 (5-8pm)
A great night to bring the family to the winery! Our porch offers a great view of the sunset and the playset, so you can relax while the kids have fun!
Sundaes are topped with fresh fruit, whipped cream and Joe's Cool Red (or chocolate syrup!). $5 for adults, $3 for kids.

Randy Lee Ashcraft and the Saltwater Cowboys
Saturday, October 2. 6-9pm
Randy Lee started off the summer concert season at the winery with his awesome Memorial Day concert. Now, with the Saltwater Cowboys he'll send us into fall. Join us for another rollicking good time with plenty of music and wine! $5 at the door for adults 21 & up includes tasting of 5 wines.
All ages are welcome, must be 21 to drink. Please, no alcohol other than Layton's Chance wine may be consumed on the premises. Coolers will be checked.
